West German Tornado team |
Members of the West German team responsible for
testing of operational flight equipment on the
Tornado aircraft arrived at China Lake for a
four-month stay on Tuesday afternoon. The German
Flight Test Center and Naval Air Wing Two sent 123
people, Including family members, to NWC. China

Prusinski memorial service |
Lt. Mark A. Prusinski, USN, memorial service was
held Sunday afternoon at the Naval Weapons Center's
All Faith Chapel. Lt. Prusinski died last Wednesday
morning in the crash of his QF-86 Sabrejet near
Trona. This was the first fatal crash involving an
NWC aircraft since LCdr. Theodore Faller died in the
crash of his QF-86 in August, 1979. A02 Stefan Fehr

Capt. Paul Valovich |
Capt. Paul Valovich, former NWC Vice Commander,
put in 3,980 hours in A-4s during his career. Before
leaving China Lake to take over as C.O. of NAS Pt.
Mugu, "Booger" took one last flight in this A-4M
Skyhawk from Armitage Field. The change of command
ceremony for Capt. Valovich is set for next Friday,

Parachute Test Operations Branch and is the only

well equipped night attack pilot would wear for the
U.S. Navy or Marine Corps. Night Vision goggles
