• 24 August -- In a test conducted at NOTS, Inyokern, CA, a Terrier,
surface-to-air guided missile, intercepted an F6F drone at a range of
more than 11 miles from the point of launch. •
December -- The Marine Corp Guided Missile Test Unit (MCGMTU) reports
aboard from the Applied Physics Laboratory, Silver Springs, MD.
